Peace Camp is a day camp for children, ages 5-11, held at UUCA in collaboration with Little Friends for Peace. Many campers and staff are recruited from community partners such as Beacon House, Buckingham, Harvey Hall, and Virginia Gardens, four area neighborhood community centers, in addition to the UUCA community.
The Peace Camp seeks to create and nourish an intergenerational community among persons of different faiths, cultures, races and ethnic backgrounds for the purpose of understanding the processes for making our world a more peaceful place and learning strategies for developing these processes.
